Looking to Join in 2027?
Whether your interests are in aviation, leadership, outdoor activities, or simply trying something new, 32 Squadron is where you can learn, achieve and belong.
You can join between the ages of 13 and 15 (can be 12 if in Year 9 in 2027).

Step 1: Attend an Open Night
We will be hosting two open nights for our 2027 intake, the first on the 23rd of November 2026 and the second on the 18th of January 2027. Come along from 1815hrs (6:15pm) to see what we get up to. If you are keen to join up, we will give you an Initial Application Form.
If you miss the open nights, you can still apply via email to 32sqn@cadetforces.org.nz. Please note that the last day for applications is the 11th of February 2027.
Step 2: Start Attending Parade Nights
Once you’ve completed your Initial Application Form, you can start attending Parade Nights from the 18th of January 2027. We will also send you the Online Application to complete.


Step 3: Attend Induction Day
All recruits and at least one parent/guardian will need to attend an Induction Day on the 13th of February 2027. This will cover essential introduction briefs on how 32 Squadron and the NZCF operate as well as a chance to complete any outstanding application admin.
Step 4: Attend Cadet Recruit Course
The Cadet Recruit Course for 2027 will be held on the weekend of 2-4 April 2027. This weekend is mandatory for new recruits and provides core drill, standards and foundational cadet knowledge training.

What are the costs?
Term Fees:
Fees for 2027 are $40 per term for the oldest active cadet in each family. Subsequent cadets from the same immediate family will be $20 per term each.
Activity Fees:
The fee for the Cadet Recruit Course 2027 is estimated to be $45 to cover rations for the course.
The fees for other activities will be advised when applications for those activities open.
Uniforms:
Recruits will need to purchase a Squadron T-Shirt. The cost for this is $40.
Each recruit will receive their first set of name-tags free of charge. Replacement sets will incur a cost.
All other uniform items will be provided on loan at no charge. There will only be a charge for any lost/damaged items.
How to Pay:
Invoices will be sent out at the end of each term. These will cover the term fees and any other costs incurred that term.
